Summertime

Hopefully your Summer hasn't been as rainy as mine and you've been enjoying relaxing days when you can. This is the best time to plan your education opportunities. Whether for kids or adults take some quality time and explore your options. Fall is normally busy also, but if you have some ideas and do some research now, you'll be that much further ahead. I hate to remind you, let alone myself that the more prepared you get now, the easier it will be later. That's all this time, I just wanted to put a bug in your ear. Happy days to all!

Getting Ahead

I'm a mere 47 years young. After doing stonework and masonry all my life I know the only way to be prosperous without my body being drug down is to educate myself like I am, and go to the gym to get the energy I need to keep going. It doesn't matter who you are or what you do in life, the only way to stay on top or to improve yourself is to that KNOWLEDGE is the key. Ed2go is a place to educate yourself online. If your looking for college or to jumpstart your kids education or anything else you have to do keep up in todays economy, at least your trying to keep up with the times. The saying goes "keep up with the times or get left behind!" It isn't always easy but it's something we have to do. And in the end it is always Righteous. I've always been the one to work hard and stay ahead and self educate myself to stay on top, but every couple of years I have to get down to the nitty gritty and do a superstart to get back to where I should be. Time always catches up with me. Whether you're high school, college, or just trying to get ahead, or keep up with the times, the best time to educate yourself is now. President Obama is promoting education and putting money out to help everybody and anybody to help pay for their needs. I suggest taking advantage while we have a president that wants to help us. We finally have someone doing something for us instead of talking about it! I'm taking what I can get now and hope all of you will too.

Kids

When I was growing up, we didn't have all this technology at our fingertips. About 10 years ago I was in a Job center looking for a job. They referred me to their computers to search. Luckily, my 12 year old nephew was with me. He had to show me how to start the computer and navigate through job listings. It made me feel like I was prehistoric! And now kids as young as 10 are carrying cellphones on a regular basis. This is good and bad at the same time. They can access information they shouldn't have and there has been a big increase in child predators who contact them on the internet. The icon to the right has free software you can install on your computer for kids up to the age of 14 if you have any using it. Or you can click here http://www.childrenseducationalnetwork.com/cmd.asp?af=1012078 . Check it out! You can have your parental controls in no time. They also have educational programs and sites available. The best thing is the FREE software. We always have to protect our kids, whether their ours or not. Children are going to grow up and take care of us some day. I should be getting more educational resources for everyone soon and hopefully a home page for you all to reference. I'll be posting again soon. Just remember, Knowledge is the key to everything.

Knowledge is the key to all

Knowledge is the key to life. It doesn't matter who you are or where you started in life, if you have the desire to improve yourself and succeed than you have to educate yourself. You can self-educate yourself through on the job training or by buying books and teaching yourself which I do myself, or go to school online or at a college or adult education. I have worked for people who dropped out of high school! And they found something that they enjoyed working, educated themselves on it, and individually or through a mentor, who might have been a friend or an associate, helped them succeed in their art or trade. Moving on to their own business doing their thing they educated themselves because of their love for it and the desire to succeed at what they loved best.
Whether you are young and have an idea what you are looking for, older like myself and finding a new interest, an ongoing education online or through a university, a mom at home with PC and internet access, military with family, or parents wanting to get a jumpstart on your kids education, it is definitely worth the time in the long run. There so many avenues to go to at home or online. And President Obama is pushing for more education with more student loans and grants. The grants are free, up to $5000.00 per year depending what you enroll for. Thumbs up for America and our new president. I will be discussing more programs for all of us soon. Until then, research your education and think of the possibilities!
